Some Common Issues
Some of the most common problems customers can face with their Primo water dispensers:
• Water dispensing at room • Temperature, the water not • Dispensing from either tap, and the water leaking from the tap.
These issues are able to be resolved quickly!

If Your Water is Room Temperature
The cold water thermostat control is mounted onto the back of your Primo water dispenser.
First, unplug your water dispenser from the electrical outlet. Then, make sure the appliance is away from any wall that it might be positioned next to. This is so you will be able to access the backside of the dispenser.
You will want to be looking for a dial that looks like a gold or brass-colored flathead screw. This will be nearby the back condenser coil grill.
Once found, use a flathead screwdriver to adjust the dial, rotating clockwise to cool the water. You do not want to adjust this more than one-quarter of a turn as turning it too much might cause the water to freeze.

If Your Water is Not Dispensing From Either Tap
This issue might simply be an improper seal on the water bottle. Primo’s water dispensers are designed in such a way that air pressure flows over the water system to force air into the bottle, building up within the bottle to push water from the bottle into the reservoir of the water dispenser.
If an air seal is not properly positioned, then the reservoir will not be able to fill with water. This would cause LED lights on the system to begin flashing. An audible “chirping” sound will be present as well.
There is a simple solution to this issue: Secure the hoses and the seal on the bottle!
If your probe on your water system is designed as to snap onto the bottle cap of the water bottle, call Primo’s customer service line and they will be able to upgrade the seal-and-lock probe on your system to prevent this issue from possibly occurring in the future.

If Water is Leaking From the Tap
Over time, there is the possibility that minerals from the water will build-up in your system. This is a completely normal and common situation.
If this occurs, you might find your water dispenser leaking water from the taps.
To resolve this issue, you will need: • 30 minutes time • 1 tablespoon of regular bleach • 1 empty bottle • 1 two-gallon bucket
Once you are ready to begin, turn the energy saving switch on your dispenser to “OFF.”
Then, unplug the power cord from the electrical outlet and remove the water bottle, placing the probe on hanger. Move the water dispenser away from any wall so you will be able to access the back of the machine.

If Water is Leaking From the Tap
Dispense water from both the hot and cold taps into an available pitcher in order to remove the remaining water from the reservoirs.
Next, remove the cap from an empty spare 5-gallon water bottle and pour the bleach and tap water into the empty bottle, attaching the cleaning bottle to the water dispenser and sliding the bottle in, then closing the door.
Plug the power cord back into a grounded wall outlet and turn the energy saving switch back to “ON.”
Allow the solution of bleach to fill the reservoirs. Once this solution has filled the reservoirs, wait 10 minutes before draining the water from the reservoirs from both the hot and cold water taps. Be very careful as the water will be quite hot!

If Water is Leaking From the Tap
Next, turn the energy saving switch back to “OFF.” Repeat the above flushing process with hot water instead of the bleach solution. Once completed, place the two-gallon bucket at the back of the appliance. Remove the drain plug to allow the water to completely empty and drain out of the system. After this is completed, replace the silicon plug and drain cap to their original positions. Now, you can return the water dispenser to your desired place where it was before, installing a fresh water bottle and plugging the power cord back into the grounded outlet in the wall. You can now turn the energy saving switch back to “ON.” You are good to use your water dispenser again!
